Look what has happened
I was a geek without purpose
A heart without love
A soul without cause

Like waves in the sea
You crept alongside
Rocking my boat
So gently; you love

I knew who I was
Now I'm learning
Who we are
And who I am with you

I feel these words screaming
Beating their wings
Against bars of a cage
Shaking and trembling
Cold in their prison
A beam of light the only warmth
But it's all futile
To scream out their meanings
To give them free rein
It would take years
For words can't express
The feelings inside
Can't tell of the love
That lives inside my very essence
The very core of my existence
You've touched me
Deep inside
You've touched my heart
With an understanding hand
I've loved some things
But these tears in my eyes
Are exasperated waters
Dammed up over this inexpression
Of my love for you
My husband
And partner for life
